Recent events in Parliament have shown it is not enough to merely comply with the rules but you must be seen to comply with the spirit of the law.

Organisations which have anything to do with children and young people have a duty under the Education Act 2002 and the Childrens Act to have policies in place, have a senior member of staff as Child Protection Officer AND provide training for all staff at an appropriate level.

Research has shown that the training for all staff is not taking place.
